Pastor Joseph Brown was Saved at the age of 16 in 1978 under the spiritual leadership of superintendent McPayne, who was at that time the Pastor of the Kentish Town COGIC Assembly.

Joseph was filled with the Holy Spirit in May 1985 at the Annual Youth Convention during which time he was courting sister Yolandé John from the COGIC Tottenham Assembly. They were married in July 1986.

He then transferred his membership to COGIC Tottenham and served there as a member until he became a licensed minister in 1994 under the leadership of Bishop Bell.

His ordination as an Elder took place in July 1998 and as such he served in the Educational Section of COGIC Tottenham Assembly.

In 2005 there was a significant move of God in his life in that he dreamt that he was actually worshipping in the Watford Assembly, and in July 2006 with much prayer and discussions his dream became a reality when he transferred to Watford supporting the ministry of Superintendent Michael E. Williams of the Watford Assembly.

He views his role as a challenge. But what challenge is ever easy? Challenges are there for development and progression and there are many

His vision for The Sanctuary Cogic Watford is that it will grow in pure love and unity, embracing and serving the local community without relinquishing the foundation that has been established over the past 50 years.

His focus will also be on the spiritual and temporal development of individuals, to embrace our children and our youth.
